A BLAST FROM THE PAST: This accomplishment took place sometime during 1977.
OTCH Topbrass Cisco Kid OS OBHF (owner Handler – Pauline Czarnecki) CISCO and OTCH Moreland’s Golden Tonka were the 1st two OTCHs of any breed as confirmed by AKC.
Interesting that Cisco is sired by Poika of Handjem OS. Poika was owned by Mike Lardy’s father, Henry Lardy. Henry was a prestigious professor at the University of Wisconsin in Madison, WI. Henry would farm his retrievers out to his students. He would use them to hunt with, but otherwise the dogs lived with the student. I bred several bitch’s to Poika and produced many wonderful pups from those litters.
Pauline is still successful in the obedience ring today with another TOPBRASS dog. Here is Pauline’s list of older Titled Goldens

Pauline’s present competitor: Topbrass Four on the Floor CDX (call name Charger) has a 200 score and 8 High in trials to date and is going to start utility in March.
